As someone who took up journaling in my 30s, not only did I feel like I was a little late to the party, but I also felt like I’d missed out on years of a simple activity that would have helped me to grow as a person.
Much of my early forays focused on self-reflection, mostly because I hadn’t done enough of it in a structured way. It’s such a powerful habit, pausing, checking in with yourself, thinking about who you are and what you want to be.
Why Self-Reflection Journaling Matters…
Journaling offers huge benefits on so many levels. It certainly deserves its own article. But in terms of self-reflection, consider the following advantages:
- Encourages presence and mindfulness
- Builds self-awareness and emotional intelligence
- Clarifies values, goals, and life direction
- Helps you to frame challenges and celebrate wins
- Reinforces intentional self-growth habits
Here are the Prompts…
For this article, I’ve pulled 35 from the large library of prompts I’ve built up over the years. Some are brief and concise, while others require more in-depth self-reflection and a longer word count when writing.
Hopefully, you’ll learn a little more about yourself and get a clearer picture of your future.
